Venice’s most famous Venetian Gondola

Venetian Gondola
Venetian Gondola

The Gondola is propelled by an oarsman, the Gondolier who stands facing the bow and rows with a forward stroke, followed by a compensating backward stroke. Quite possibly one of the most famous symbols of Venice is the Gondola.  When  tourist visit Venice they make sure they take a ride in the famous Gondola.  This model Gondola represents a typical Venetian Gondola circa 1882. Our model is built from select hardwoods and painted by master craftsmen. Our Sequin tugboat model is built from hardwood. It is estimated that there were several thousand gondolas during the 18th century.
